# Design Audit Methodology for Cultural Moments

This methodology provides step-by-step tools for analyzing any cultural phenomenon using Universal Design Theory principles.

## Universal Compositional Analysis

Step 1: Map Hierarchy

* Identify what gets primary attention across all mediums involved
* Track secondary and tertiary elements in the cultural composition
* Analyze attention flow pathways across different formats

Step 2: Identify Structural Systems

* Map the underlying organizational framework
* Identify constraints and permissions in the cultural space
* Analyze how structure shapes participation

Step 3: Analyze Rhythm and Timing

* Assess tempo and pacing across mediums
* Identify rhythmic patterns and their effects
* Map temporal design choices and their impact

## Force and Pressure Assessment

Tension Mapping:

* Where is cultural pressure building?
* What elements create stability vs. instability?
* How is rhythm being established or disrupted?

Energy Flow Analysis:

* Where does cultural energy move freely vs. get blocked?
* Which elements generate vs. dissipate energy?
* How do different mediums interact to amplify or dampen force?

## Audience Interaction Design

Engagement Analysis:

* How is the cultural moment designed to be engaged with?
* What responses is the cultural "interface" optimized for?
* Where are the "call-to-action" moments across different elements?

Accessibility Assessment:

* Who can participate easily vs. who faces barriers?
* How inclusive vs. exclusive are the cultural "interfaces"?
* What design choices facilitate vs. restrict engagement?
